Good morning! It is a chilly, breezy morning out here on Pensacola beach! The winds are coming out of the ESE at 9-11 mph causing for a lot of texture on the Gulf. However, there is no real surf. The waves are knee high at best and very bad form. Even the sets coming through are broken and disorganized. We will keep our eyes on it for any change. There is no real change in the tide to help either add it is a neap tide. There is a chance that the surf will build today! We will keep our eyes on it!! Have a good morning!
Good morning! It is so much prettier on Pensacola beach today than yesterday. However, it is stinking cold out there for it being done of the last days in April! 50°! Yikes! The surf unfortunately is flat. There are some ankle high rollers determined to hit the beach but that is it. The winds are still coming out of the north at 10 mph causing for really chilly and cold conditions this morning. The day, once out warms up, is going to be very pleasant! So get outside and soak up the sun! We live in paradise! We are so lucky! Hold tight as the surf should start building again tomorrow.
Good afternoon! The surf is up! It is solid waist high with bigger sets coming through. The winds are pretty hard out of the SE at 13-15 mph. This is causing for choppy conditions. I would seek shelter if you want to surf! Unless you don’t mind chop and slop!! They will continue to stay hard onshore the rest of the evening. The forecasts are saying the winds will go offshore at 10 am tomorrow morning. They are usually late in their forecasts so check our report early so you can catch some of this surf tomorrow! Have a great day!
Good afternoon! We have surf! The red flags are flying but we still can’t surf the east side of the pier…boo! The surf is rib to shoulder high. You will have to wait for the sets to come through. The winds are out of the ESE at 10-12 mph causing for choppy conditions. The surf doesn’t look like much but it is fun! Have a great day!
Good morning! Strange, my first report disappeared, so sorry for the delay! We have surf! It is thigh to hip high right now. The winds are coming out of the SE at 10 mph causing for semi-choppy conditions. We have a neap tide today. The surf should be on the increase, so we will update as it changes. Have a good day!
Good morning! It is a beautiful, clear morning out here on Pensacola Beach. The air temp is warmer this morning, 50 degrees. It looks like we should be warming up through the weekend. SE winds start blowing late Friday and into Saturday bringing the surf back up by Easter. Right now it is Lake of Mexico flat. There are little shin high bumps breaking near the beach. Today would be a great day to standup paddleboard. Have a great day and we will update you with another beach and surf report today.
Good afternoon! It is a cloudy day out here on Pensacola Beach. The water is still brown from all the surf we had for the past couple of days. It seems forever since it has been our signature emerald green! The surf is still up a bit. It is a shame we can’t surf on the East side of the pier. There are some sweet little longboard lines that would be a blast on a big board. However there are little scraps on the left (west) side of the pier. I bet there are some other breaks that are holding this little wave. We should see and increase tomorrow and then into the weekend. High tide is 5:56 pm today. So there should be a push until then. Have a great day, and we will have you a surf report in the morning!
AND there is a surf movie coming to the Rave theater on Bayou Blvd. next Thursday. Check out the trailer and buy your tickets early as there is only one showing!
Good morning! This time change is eating my lunch. The surf is still up. It is running chest, shoulder, and head high. The wind is still hard but more out of the South than East this morning. It is blowing 13-14 mph which isn’t as hard as yesterday when it was blowing 10-20 mph. We will track the front coming through today and will update you as it gets closer. Maybe offshore surf today! Yahoo…maybe.
